How it works
-
Start where you are
Tell us where you are today and where you want to be in two years. The plan starts at the right level and grows with you – and you share out who does what.
-
Learn what it takes
The knowledge bank explains roles, money, rights, live and team. Every lesson ends with a task that takes you to the right place in Waveroom.
-
Plan and pitch the release
Set a release date and get a 36-step campaign, a press kit and pitches that fit each recipient – from a contact library with outlets in Sweden, the Nordics, Europe and the USA.
-
See the results and the journey
See who listened, which placements you got and how your audience grows – from the first release onwards. The learnings carry over to the next release.

-
86% of journalists immediately delete pitches that don't fit what they cover. That's why every recipient gets their own kind of pitch.

-
Pitch at least 7 days before release and the song lands in your followers' Release Radar.

Waveroom never sells playlist placements and warns you about playlists that do. Paid streams break Spotify's terms.

FAQ
What does it cost?
Nothing. Waveroom is free to use and run on a non-profit basis. If you like, you can support development with a voluntary donation via the Donate button.
Do I need a label or a PR agency?
No. Waveroom is built for people who release on their own or with a small team.
Are the emails sent from me?
Pitches are sent with your artist name as the sender, and replies go straight to your email.
Does the AI write everything for me?
With AI switched on, a draft is written from your profile and the recipient. You always read it through and edit before anything is sent. Without AI, templates following the same advice are used.
Does it work for solo artists?
Yes. Choose solo artist and pitches are written in the first person singular.
Does Waveroom work outside Sweden?
Yes. The lessons apply to bands in every country, the contact library has outlets in Sweden, the Nordics, Europe and the USA, and all of Waveroom is available in English and Swedish. Each contact gets pitches in their own language.
What is the knowledge bank?
Short, free lessons on running a band today – roles, money, rights, releases, live, team and making it last. No account needed, and they're free to share and use in study groups.
Can several people in the band work together?
Yes. Invite band members, a manager or a booker, share out who does what and use one login for every artist you work with.
Where do the contacts come from?
You add your own and can choose from a library of outlets, radio, blogs and festivals, where every contact route is taken from the recipient's own website.
